Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted seeds, called coffee beans, of the coffee plant.
Today, coffee is the third most popular drink in the world, behind water and tea.
In Indonesia, coffee is quite popular, we can find a lot of coffee shop or cafe around Jakarta, this drink packed.
I remember a story about Carrot, Egg or Coffee?
A child complained to his father about his life that's very difficult. He doesn't know what else to do and almost give up. He was tired of fighting.
Every time one problem was solved, other problem is coming.
His father wisely smiled and took his son to kitchen, then he took three pots and fill each with water and place it on a burning stove.
Moments later the water in the pots is boiling. Then he put carrtos in the first pot, an egg in the second pot and some crushed coffee beans in third pot and he let it boiling.
Then the son impatient for waiting what his father done. Twenty minutes later, his father turned off the fire, he put the carrot, egg and coffee in the plate.
And then he turned to his son and asked, "What do you see, son?"
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," replied the son. He guides him closer and asked him to hold the carrots. The son did as he asked and said that carrots were soft.
Then the father asked his son to break an egg. After the eggs were broken and peeled, the son said that now the eggs is hard.
Then the father asked him to taste the coffee. The son smiled as he tasted the delicious coffee flavor. "What does all this mean, father?" asked the son.
The father explained that every object in have been experiencing the same thing, which is boiled in boiling water, but after boiling, they turn into something different. Carrots are initially strong and hard, after boiled in boiling water, turned into a soft and weak.
While the egg, by contrast, initially fragile, now that boiled into hard and sturdy.
While the beans are grown transformed into very unique. Coffee beans, once cooked, change the water that boil it.
So, which one are you? "Asked the father to his son." In time of trouble facing at your ways, what happened to you?
